Facilities

Clinton Community Schools is dedicated to providing exceptional school facilities and grounds in order to provide students and the community with a positive experience and a safe school environment.

Our facilities, maintenance, and grounds work are performed and completed year-round by a team made up of our facilities director, five full-time custodians, and two seasonal staff.  The maintenance team stays busy all year long cleaning and maintaining buildings and grounds, but summer is our busiest time of year.  Summer provides the maintenance team an opportunity to take on and complete most of our bigger projects like painting, installations, construction, and renovations.  Summer is also when all our floors are deep cleaned.  Carpets are shampooed and other floors are waxed and/or refinished.  Lastly, summer is when a complete and thorough cleaning of all buildings in the district takes place.

Our maintenance team is responsible for cleaning and maintaining approximately 200,000 square feet of buildings along with the care of 58 acres of the district's grounds.  CCS grounds are made up of parking lots, sidewalks, roadways, lawns, eleven athletic fields, and two playgrounds.  The maintenance and facilities team is also responsible for ensuring the proper operation and safety of the districts drinking water, waste removal, recycling pick-up, bleachers, backflow prevention devices, boilers, HVACR systems, fertilizer applications, snow removal, salt applications, and more.

Please contact our facilities director if you have questions or concerns in regards to maintenance, grounds, facilities or custodial operations.
